Michael is a partner with the firm
whose practice is focused primarily on business and real
estate litigation. He has experience in handling a broad range of litigation matters including breach of contract, unfair competition, misrepresentation and non-disclosure, contractual interference and related business torts, and broker and agent disputes. He also has extensive
experience in handling a variety of insurance and reinsurance
related matters. |

Prior to joining the firm, Michael was a partner with Barger &
Wolen LLP, a national law firm,
where he practiced commercial litigation on behalf of national and
international insurers and other Fortune 500 companies in the firm's
San Francisco office. He has experience in all aspects of
litigation, including trial and arbitration work, as well as
mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Michael received his BA from the University of California at Santa
Barbara with high honors and his JD from the University of San
Francisco School of Law. During law school, he served as an editor
on the Law Review and as a clerk to the Honorable Ronald M. Whyte
of the United States District Court for the Northern District of
California. He is licensed to practice before all courts in
California, the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern District
Courts of California, as well as the Second and Ninth Circuit Courts
of Appeals.
Michael was raised in San Luis Obispo and attended Mission College
Preparatory High School. He and his wife Alison relocated to San
Luis Obispo from San Francisco in 2008. |
